It's a club I have joined after submitting some touhou pictures. Hopefully this will get me up and running again.
The anime for this game is out (episode one) and I can't say it lived up to the hype. Sure, it's an anime with a full professional voice actor cast, but I feel the whole spirit of TouHou is lessened by the commercialisation. It started off in Comeket as some curtian fire game by ZUN and grew from that, starting off a wildfire chain of doujinshi which sparked the building of character development up. Many of the characters now have a 'set' range of personality types, which is lovely because it was 'hotly debated' (or its equivalent over time and in art) in doujinshi after doujinshi.
Still, I will be watching the anime for its development.

Prismacolour markers

Today I received no less than EIGHT prismacolour markers. They're similar to Copics, but are less widely known. Frankly, I'm stoked. I'm just so thrilled, I don't know what say or do with them. Well, that's not entirely true, I do know what I want to do with them, but there's always that barrier of putting it to test. What do I do with it? How do I make the best use of it? Things like that.
I'd like to draw a thank-you picture after exams are over. The inspiration is there, thanks to an art book that I've been eyeing for a time in the book shop.
There's so much I want to do in terms of drawing now. I want to use the prismacolour markers, and I want to draw scenery with colour schemes inspired from 'Entropia', then there's the card-based RPG game I wanted to design with some other people. The game itself will be based on Anima (which we've coincidently started playing) and apparently the artist for Anima is on DeviantArt. Absolutely thrilled, oh, yes I am.
Just a few of the things I want to do over the Summer break.

For those too lazy to click and read, it's a thing where you draw 100 pictures, each one having a certain theme. The theme list is listed in the site, and most of them seem pretty generic to me. So it should be easy, right?

I think that i will start drawing some, then do some crappy stuff for the sake for completing this challenge. let's hope that doesn't happen.
maybe i'll try some new media whilst trying to complete this. So far it's only been pacer, colour pencils and watered down acrylics. I could try to use ink (though it's only really for filling up pens. Who knows? It could work...) , maybe crayons...
